What To Do With Your Kids Halloween Candy?

Halloween is so much fun with kids! I have so many fond memories growing up of bringing home massive pillowcases full of candy, and eating until I was sick… every day… for DAYS after! Until I had eaten all of the good candy, the rest went stale, and I eventually threw the rest away. When your kids get a ton of Halloween candy, what do you do with it? Let them eat it until they are sick? Do you eat it until you are sick? Do have them sell it to the dentist for money?

When trick or treating with my babies began, I came across an idea that has made the fun and candy from Halloween last until Christmas… AND your kids won’t be sick from the overload of sugar! My kids definitely eat their share of candy on Halloween night, but the next day, we do this and my kids love it!:

I help my kids sort through all of their candy and determine what they like, what they want to keep, and take out any unwrapped or open candy. In the chain above, my son loves M&M’s so he wanted to fill it with them! :)

How To:

Lay out the plastic wrap in a big long sheet

Place the candy in the order the kids would like it

Fold the plastic over the candy on both sides

Cut string to your desired length

Tie the string between each piece of candy

AND

Voila!
